Lego readies an impressive new Back to the Future Time Machine kit

The 3-in-1 kit lets you decide which version of the famous DeLorean to build.

In 2013, Lego released a Back to the Future Time Machine kit. It was one of the first products to emerge from what is now known as Lego Ideas, a project that lets brick-proficient creators from around the world submit their ideas for public approval and potential production. (And yes, the designer gets a cut.) That set has been sold out for a long time, and sales on the secondary market go for many times its original $34.99 price.

For those who missed out, there's now a way to get a Lego BTTF DeLorean—no time machine required. On April 1, the Danish toymaker will release a new BTTF Time Machine kit. And it's a lot more impressive than the 2013 set, which contained 401 bricks—the new model is composed of 1,872 bricks and measures 11.5 inches (35.5 cm) long, 7.5 inches (19 cm) wide, and 4 inches (11 cm) tall.

Lego sets with almost 2,000 pieces and a movie license don't come cheap, though. The BTTF Time Machine kit will set you back $169.99.

Samsung’s Galaxy A series line of mid-range smartphones are among the company’s best-selling, typically combining strong features and prices that are more affordable than the company’s increasingly expensive Galaxy S series flagships.

The new Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A53 5G continue the trend. The former will be available in Europe starting April 22 for €369 and up, while the latter launches April 1 for €449. The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is also coming to the US for $449 and up.

Both phones feature AMOLED displays with high refresh rates, at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, microSD card readers, 5,000 mAh batteries, 25W fast charging (but you’ll need to supply your own charger since there isn’t one in the box), and they’re both missing something found on previous-gen Galaxy A devices: a headphone jack.

There’s also a new Samsung Galaxy A73 4G smartphone coming to select markets on April 22nd, but Samsung hasn’t announced pricing for that model yet. We do have specs and images though. Expect a bigger screen, a higher-res primary amera and, most likely, a higher price tag.
