Logitech thinks small with MX Keys Mini wireless keyboard

Multi-PC control in a smaller form factor.

Logitech has taken its advanced Bluetooth keyboard and made it smaller. Announced today, the Logitech MX Keys Mini and MX Keys Mini for Mac drop the numpad and navigational keys of the full-sized Logitech MX Keys released two years ago in favor of a smaller form factor that still packs some nifty features.

Like the MX Keys, the smaller MX Keys Mini targets creative professionals with the ability to connect to three devices via Bluetooth Low Energy, allowing you to control up to three PCs, tablets, or smartphones without having to switch dongles or pair the keyboard over and over again (who has the time?). Logitech’s compact keyboard is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Chrome, Android, and Linux.

Differing from its predecessor, the MX Keys Mini includes an Emoji key for easy access to an Emoji keyboard. There’s also a dedicated key for turning your microphone on or off and a dictation key for talk-to-text.

Retailer reveals Radeon RX 6600 GPU, another card you probably won’t be able to buy

Pricing remains a mystery, but expect MSRP to be lower than the $379 RX 6600XT.

People hoping to get their hands on an affordable graphics card may soon have one more new model to try for—a pulled retailer listing spotted by the GPU enthusiast site VideoCardz seems to confirm the existence of an AMD Radeon RX 6600 GPU. The RX 6600 is a midrange GPU that will slot in under the $379 RX 6600XT in AMD's lineup, and the site claims it will be available on October 13.

By themselves, we don't put a lot of stock in retailer listings, since they can be speculative placeholders rather than a confirmation that a given product is being launched. But this one came complete with box art and photos of the card, which confirms that it will come with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, and, like the RX 6600 XT, it will be sold primarily as a 1080p card. The GPU is said to include 1,792 of AMD's Stream Processors, compared to 2,048 on the RX 6600 XT, while retaining the same 128-bit memory interface as the XT.

A single 8-pin power connector, three DisplayPorts, and a single HDMI port are also visible in the photos, and the card's short length will make it one of the few modern GPUs suitable for small-form-factor PC builds. What the listing doesn't tell us is what the GPU will cost; the listed price of 589.90 euro works out to about $690 in US dollars, at least twice as high as we think the card's official price is likely to be.

Earlier this year Amazon updated the Fire HD 10 lineup with new models that feature more RAM, brighter displays, slightly better cameras, faster charging and Bluetooth 5.0 support. But the processor, speakers, battery, and other specs are largely the same as they were for the previous-gen models.

Now Amazon is running a sale on that previous-gen model, which means you can pick up a 9th-gen Amazon Fire HD 10 with 64GB of storage for $96, which is about half the list price, and the lowest price I’ve seen to date.

Keep in mind that Amazon’s tablets ship with Fire OS, which is a fork of Android featuring its own user interface and app store. But you can sideload apps from outside the Amazon Appstore, or even install Google Play on the tablet.

Here are some of the day’s best deals.

The Asus PN41 is a 4.5″ x 4.5″ x 1.9″ desktop computer with a low-power Intel Jasper Lake processor and a fanless design.

First unveiled in May, some configurations are now available for purchase for $169 and up… although most stores that have it in stock show delayed ship dates, so maybe it’s really up for pre-order.

Amazon is selling a barebones model for $169 (you have to check the “other sellers” section to get that price, as the main page shows a $10 price tag). Or if you’d rather buy a model pre-configured with memory, storage, and Windows 10 Pro, you can pre-order from Craving Savings (via from Newegg or eBay), which are offering the following configurations:

  • 4GB DDR4-3200 RAM/128GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD/Win10 Pro for $330
  • 8GB/256GB/Win10 Pro for $370
  • 4GB/512GB/Win10 Pro for $380
  • 8GB/512GB/Win10 Pro for $400
  • 4GB/1TB/Win10 Pro for $440
  • 8GB/1TB/Win10 Pro for $460

Note that Amazon, Newegg, and eBay all say Asus Pn41 orders placed today won’t ship until mid-October.

All of the models currently available are powered by Intel Celeron N4500 processors. That’s a 6-watt, 2-core, 2-thread chip with a 1.1 GHz base frequency and support for bursts of speed up to 2.8 GHz. It features Intel UHD graphics with 16 execution units, support for 4K video, and support for speeds ranging from 350 MHz to 750 MHz.

The Asus PN41 also supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 and has room inside the case for an optional 2.5 inch SATA hard drive or SSD. On the front and back of the computer you’ll find a selection of ports including:

  • 1 x HDMI 2.0
  • 1 x DisplayPort
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C
  • 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
  • 1 x 2.5 Gbps Ethernet
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio

But if you’re holding out hope for something with a little more horsepower, the Asus spec sheet posted earlier this year (which seems to have gone missing) mentioned support for up to a 10-watt Intel Pentium Silver N6005 quad-core, quad-thread processor with 2GHz base and 3.3 GHz burst speeds and Intel UHD graphics with 32-execution units and 450 MHz base and 900 MHz boost speeds. There’s no word on if or when models with that processor will be available though.
