MediaTek has been talking about its upcoming Helio X30 processor for months. We already knew it would be the company’s first 10nm chip and that like the Helio X20 series chips it will replace, the new processor features 10 CPU cores.

Now the company is providing more details about the new chip, and how it differs from its predecessor.

We’ll have to wait a little before we can buy phones powered by Helio X30 chips though.

Popular media center application Plex allows you to set up a personal media server so that you can stream your videos to just about any PC, phone, tablet, or other device over a home network or over the internet. But up until now you’ve needed to set up an always-on PC or network-attached-storage device to do that.

Now Plex is launching a new service called Plex Cloud that allows you to upload your media to the internet and stream it even if your media PC (or NAS) is offline.

Google is said to be working on a new operating system that combines features of Android and Chrome OS. It’d be able to run across a range of devices including tablets, and laptops. And according to a report from Android Police, Google may be planning to show off a preview at its event on October 4th… even though the new operating system isn’t expected to be available until 2017.
