Time to catch up on the most recent trailer update.

A sequel to Freaky Friday wasn't on my 2025 bingo card, but here we are. Freakier Friday releases this August and looks like a lot of fun.

Less surprise in terms of getting a sequel with Fight Nights At Freddy's 2 getting a teaser trailer (an our exclusive music-only version of that teaser).

The sequel theme continues with the soft-reboot of The Naked Gun.

I can't be the only one that confuses Paul Thomas Anderson and Wes Anderson, and the confusion is compounded by the fact that both have new movies out and new trailers coming one after another. One Battle After Another came just before The Phoenician Scheme (music-only trailer here).

The big blockbusters of 2025 also got new trailers, with Tron: Ares being the headline new release, but also new trailers for Mission: Impossible - The Final ReckoningBallerina, and a sneak peek of the new Superman. A lot of these came out during CinemaCon.

There were also new trailers for ElioA Working ManFinal Destination: BloodlinesDrop (music-only trailer), Hurry Up TomorrowThe Accountant 2, and Karate Kid: Legends.

Streaming trailers include Careme: Season 1Andor: Season 2Sea Lions of the GalapagosStar Wars: Tales of the Underworld - Season 1, and Predator: Killer of Killers.

Trailer Updates: Our First 2026 Trailer, Nic Caging, Andor, and 2025’s Big Movies

Yeah, it's been too long, but I can blame it on the (extended) holidays. We're not going to cover everything since our last update, but just focus on the more recent ones. So here we go again.

M3GAN was a surprising horror hit, so it was no surprise that a sequel was greenlit. The teaser for M3GAN 2.0 doesn't reveal anything at all really, but at least we know the movie is coming.

One of this year's most anticipated superhero movies has a first trailer. The Fantastic Four: First Steps teaser looks great (and we also have the IMAX version here, 8K trailer download here). Another of 2025's expected big hits, Jurassic World Rebirth, also gets its first full trailer (and as an exclusive with Digital Digest Trailer, you can also watch/listen to the music-only version of this trailer).

Another Smurfs movie is on the way, this time from another studio after they snatched up the rights to the franchise.

A lot of the above trailers were part of the Super Bowl drop, and you can find the rest of the trailers and TV spots here.

One more movie arrives in the Final Destination franchise Final Destination Bloodlines - the teaser is short and lacking in details, so we await the full trailer to see what this movie is all about.

Video game adaptation doesn't start and end of Minecraft, of which we did get a final trailer just recently. There is also Until Dawn, which is admittedly lesser known. And here's another trailer that's video game adjacent, or rather, "a TV show about a company that makes video games" adjacent - Side Quest is a spin-off from Mythic Quest that seems to be an anthology series in the same universe.

We also recently got the first teaser trailer for the eagerly anticipated second season of Andor. The teaser is a bit all over the place and doesn't really fit into the tone of the first season, but that's probably just down to the style of the trailer, rather than of the series (hopefully).

Nicolas Cage comes to Australia in The Surfer, and if the trailer is any indication, then this is going to be a real cult favourite and a fine Cage film.

And finally, we have the first trailer for a 2026 film, even though 2025 has only just started (Happy belated New Year, by the way). Shrek 5's cast announcement teaser is ... a bit unnecessary to be honest, but hey, we never turn our nose at new trailer content.

Notable mentions include Another Simple Favor, Holland, The Accountant 2, O'Dessa, and Apple TV's Dope Thief.

Trailer Updates: Live Drama, Live Action, the Final MI, and the next Pixar Film

Time for another (belated) update on what's been happening in the world of trailers.

Live broadcast was never the same after the events depicted in September 5, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it makes for very tense and interesting drama. Speaking of tense drama, the just uploaded trailer for Last Breath (and the music-only version of the trailer) looks very interesting.

D23 Brazil gave us quite a few new trailers, including the full trailers for Thunderbolts* and Captain America: Brave New World.

These are two of the biggest movies of 2025, and Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is another - the title suggests it might also be the last Tom Cruise MI film.

Pamela Anderson looks to be in the role of a lifetime in The Last Showgirl, a new film directed by another member of the Coppola family, Gia Coppola, the granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola.

Disney aren't the only ones investing in live-action remakes of animated classics - Universal is ready to get in the game as well with the live-action remake of How To Train Your Dragon, the teaser trailer was impressive and as an exclusive on Digital Digest Trailers, you also get the music-only version of that trailer. Disney are still the kings of doing it though, and they have another one coming in 2025, the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch.

And we round off this trailer update with new trailers a few interesting animated or semi-animated series and films. Off of the success of "Inside Out 2", Pixar is getting into the TV game with Dream Productions, the part of Riley's mind featured in the aforementioned box office mega hit.

Pixar's new film was supposed to have been released before "Inside Out 2", but it is finally coming and it's hard to say if Elio will be a success (certainly unlikely to be as big a success as "Inside Out 2").

Bad Guys 2 (music only trailer) will hope it can catch lightning in a bottle again after the success of the first film.

And finally, while not strictly animated, we do have a new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Other notable mentions include The Brutalist, Dear Santa, Marvel's What If...? - Season 3, and The Amateur.

Trailer Updates: John Wick-esque, Robbie the Chimp, Silo Secrets, and Various Monsters

Time again to catch up on what's been new in the world of trailers.

Robert Eggers has an unique take on a classic character in Nosferatu, the full trailer of which has been made available (and as an exclusive for Digital Digest Trailers, we also have the music-only version of this trailer). Wolf Man gets the same treatment with also a first full trailer and a music-only trailer.

I had thought that "Cry Macho" was Clint Eastwood's last film, but the legendary actor/director has one more for us apparently in Juror #2. It has a really tasty premise of the person who actually comitted the crime being in the jury for the person falsely accused of the same crime. Moral conundrum ensues.

Moving onto Apple TV+ trailers, we have the second season trailers for Silo, Bad Sisters, Curses!, and Severance (and the first season trailer for Before). The others are fine, but having to wait two and a half years after that Severance cliff-hanging is the kind of tortuous psychological experiment Lumon Industries likes to run.

Looking forward to 2025 releases, the Robbie Williams autobiography Better Man is made more interesting by the fact that Robbie Williams plays himself in the movie. But instead of using de-aging technology, they've opted to turn him into a chimp, which to be fair, solves a lot of problems. Companion looks just disturbing enough to get some attention. While the John Wick chronicles may have ended, Lionsgate does not plan to just let this lucrative franchise go, and Ballerina is the first of what probably will be many spin-offs from the John Wick universe. The career resurrection of Ke Huy Quan is just a delightful story for those of us who grew up in the '80s, and he takes on a Jackie Chan type role in Love Hurts.

It's been just over a week since our last update and there's been quite a few updates since then.

Bong Joon-ho's latest movie, Mickey 17, is a sci-fi black comedy and even if it's half as good as Parasite, then it will be worth watching. The trailer is a hoot and check out Robert Pattinson as you've never seen him before.

Oscar winner Cillian Murphy is back in another Oscar contender, a long shot this time. Historical drama Small Things Like These has some fantastic cinematography and features some great silent acting by Murphy.

Apple's original movie Blitz makes a story from a personal slice of a larger historical event, and these are usually quite good.

We're firmly in the terrority where we get some debut trailers for big-ish 2025 movies, and Marvel's Thunderbolts* has all of us wondering whether this is going to be a good Marvel movie, or a bad one (and also what does the asterisk mean).

Ryan Coogler teams up with Michael B. Jordan once again, and no, it's not another Creed movie. It's Sinner, a Jim Crow-era supernatural horror film that looks fantastic, especially with its IMAX 70mm 2.76:1 aspect ratio.=

Other notable new trailers include Freedom, Brothers, and Den of Thieves 2: Pantera

There are also second trailers for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Gladiator II, Red One, and the first full trailer for A Real Pain.
