Apple is updating its 12 inch MacBook. The 2016 model is still thin, light, and powered by an Intel Core M processor, much like last year’s model. But the new version comes with a choice of Intel Core M3, M5, or M7 Skylake processors, longer battery life, and four color options.
Prices start at $1,299 for a model with a Core M3 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
The laptop has the same 12 inch, 2304 x 1440 pixel IPS display as last year’s model, and it still has just a single USB-C port which is used for charging and connecting peripherals (including everything from flash drives to displays).

There are plenty of smartwatches that support voice control. Most use Google’s Voice Search, Apple’s Siri, or whatever Samsung calls its Tizen-based voice recognition software.
But the CoWatch is different: it’s the first watch to use Amazon’s Alexa voice service. You know, the one that powers the Amazon Echo line of products and Amazon Fire TV devices.
Whether that’s a selling point for you probably depends on how much you use Amazon’s other services.

Stuffing a full-fledged computer into a device that looks like it’s just a keyboard? That’s old hat.
But Chinese device maker Pipo is breathing new life into the idea by stuffing a PC into a travel-sized, folding keyboard.
Notebook Italia spotted the new Pipo KB2 at the HKTDC fair.
At first glance, the KB2 looks like a portable Bluetooth keyboard that you can fold up and slide into your bag when it’s not in use… but it’s a little thick for a portable keyboard.

There have been a number of attempts in recent years to give smartphones a secondary display. Yotaphone’s smartphones have a color screen on one side and an E Ink screen on the other. And the InkCase line of products attempt to deliver a similar experience by building an ePaper display into a smartphone case.
But the folks at Media Interaction Lab are showing off a concept that goes even further. The FlexCase adds a secondary E Ink screen to a phone… but it’s also a flexible screen, which gives you a number of ways to interact with the primary and secondary displays.
