Another year, another iPhone… or two. Apple is expected to launch the follow-up phones to last year’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus soon, and it’s been widely reported that one of the key new features will be the removal of a feature: the new phones won’t have 3.5mm headphone jacks. Instead you’ll be able to plug headphones into the same Lightning connector that you use to charge the phones or connect them to a computer.

But with the possible exception of last year’s Vertu Signature Touch, most Vertu phones feature dated or underpowered hardware… especially when you consider the astronomical prices the company charges for its phones: the Signature Touch sells for $9,000 and up.
Now Vertu is offering a cheaper option… that’s still extraordinarily expensive. The new Vertu Aster Chevron collection smartphones sell for $4,200.

Mozilla has launched an experimental “No More 404s” to detect when the page you’re visiting is showing a 404: Not Found error message… and then it lets you visit the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine to view the last-saved version of that website, if there’s one available.

Now that Microsoft has released Windows 10 Anniversary Update, the company is starting to hint at what’s coming next: not much… until 2017.
While Microsoft will continue to release regular updates to Windows 10, for the rest of the year most of those updates will focus on bug fixes, security updates, and other enhancements. You’ll have to wait until next year for major new features.
Microsoft says the Anniversary Update is the “last feature update for 2016,” but that two new feature updates are coming in 2017.

An unnamed, unannounced device with a 4.6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor showed up at the GFXBench website recently.
The phone is also said to have a 15MP rear camera with 4K video recording capabilities and a 7MP front-facing camera (although I suspect these are actually 16MP and 8MP cameras… those numbers are a lot more common).
